These are really nice. They’re heavier weight and very much like the Stephanie Ponte Pants, but these are more formal - they have a button and zipper, belt loops, and pockets! These are slightly pleated but not in a corny way.

I sized down in these hoping for a more tailored fit but they are slightly tight. They’re looser in the hips, thighs, and everywhere else. But I would recommend getting your usual size.

I cleaned out my closets last weekend and got rid of three gigantic bags of clothes.

My closets were overstuffed, so I told myself I had to be ruthless.

The rule was to get rid of anything that didn’t fit quite right and was too short, too long, or too snug across the bust.

Anything with holes or stains. Or that hadn’t been worn in a few years and I simply didn’t love.

It felt good to clear out the clutter and more tightly curate my closet. Keeping only those items that truly brought me joy and fit exceptionally well.

It was also interesting to see which brands made their way into the donate bags the most. And which ones didn’t.

Based on what I learned the last time I did this too, I can name a few places I probably shouldn’t shop at anymore as a result.

And that just because it’s on sale/cheap doesn’t mean I should buy it.

I can also tell you that one of my most kept brands was universalstandard (US).

Because it pays to invest in well made clothing that is designed to last.

That doesn’t shape shift after a few washes.

Or shrink upon the first wear.

If you STILL haven’t tried US, new fall pieces just dropped along with new workwear.

This jumpsuit is very comfortable and was perfect for a hot summer wedding (my wedding - it was my wedding outfit). The fit was perfect. The color is gorgeous. The length is perfect which is challenging with jumpsuits. I got tons of compliments. My only gripe is that the fabric is a little flimsy and I typically would prefer something a bit sturdier. But other than that, it is perfect.

Y’all know I love stripes and when universalstandard came out with their Breton-stripe dresses and tops I HAD to try them! As expected, the quality is stellar, the fit boosts my confidence, and I appreciate the range of colors (5 different stripes to choose from) and sizes (00-50). For reference, I’m wearing XS but preferred S for the top and I usually wear a 14 or XL in other brands.

The tote is able and it’s a soft yet durable leather that just looks better with time. This color (cognac) is one that transitions nicely from summer to fall.
